Gold panning is very popular (especially at current prices). There have been gold finds in the Snowy Range and South Pass/Atlantic City areas. Wyoming has two great national parks with Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks in the northwest part of the state. Two national monuments, Devil's Tower (north east part of state) and Fossil Butte (west central Wyoming). 24 National Historic Sites http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_National_Historic_Landmarks_in_Wyoming.
