Hunting

Wyoming has a wide variety of game, to include elk, antelope,  turkey, mule and whitetail deer, moose, Rocky Mountain Sheep, bear (both griz and black), mountain lions, buffalo, small game, pheasants and other game birds. In addition coyotes and other predators are readily available for hunting. It is best to check with the Wyoming Game and Fish to get the current regulations/licenses  and permits prior to hunting or fishing.

So far I have personally hunted in the Black Hills, Big Horn Mountains, Wyoming Range, Sierra Madre Mountains, Snowy Range Mountains, and the Laramie Range, along with the plains area around Cheyenne and Medicine Bow.

The scenery in many of these areas is amazing and even if you do not connect with your game, it is just great to be out. A good map is important and a good site to get one is http://mytopo.com/
