One thing Wyoming has a lot of is trout. They are widely dispersed in our many streams and lakes. Rainbow trout are the primary species, but we also have brown, brook, and cutthroat trout. Rainbows and cutthroats spawn in the spring and brown and brooks in the fall. In general there is no closed season for trout fishing in Wyoming, although there may be restrictions in certain areas. Always check the regulations before fishing at http://gf.state.wy.us/
Of course we have many other species of fish to include walleye and perch. Generally you will find these in the the big reservoirs such as Glendo. One thing I have not found out here is where to catch a decent size bluegill (over eight inches).
